I loved this kimchi refrigerator and I have been looking for standing refrigerator for kimchi and exactly this size . I saw small size on the floor style but I didn’t like it. This is beautiful pink color and no finger mark on the door and especially it’s really quiet and seems working good. Inside refrigerator is really functional and perfect space too. So far I’m so happy to get it. Daniel was delivered the refrigerator at my apartment and installed it and explanation everything kindly. Thank you again.

What makes a KimchiMama kimchi refrigerator different from a standard refrigerator ?
A KimchiMama kimchi refrigerator is designed specifically for kimchi fermentation and long-term storage. Unlike a standard refrigerator, it offers dedicated Fermentation and Kimchi Storage Modes with specialized temperature control, along with additional preset modes for other foods and beverages. The 120L model combines these functions with a slim, front-opening design made for today’s homes.
How does a kimchi refrigerator help preserve kimchi’s flavor and freshness?
KimchiMama’s one-touch Fermentation Mode manages the fermentation cycle for approximately 7 days and then automatically switches to Kimchi Storage Mode. Kimchi Storage maintains approximately -2.5°C to -0.5°C (27.5°F to 31.1°F), helping slow continued fermentation and preserve kimchi’s flavor, texture, and freshness.
How does KimchiMama’s Fermentation Mode work?
Place newly prepared kimchi into the containers and select Fermentation Mode. KimchiMama automatically manages the fermentation cycle for approximately 7 days and then switches to Kimchi Storage Mode, so you do not need to manually change the setting after fermentation.
Will a kimchi refrigerator freeze my kimchi?
Kimchi Storage Mode operates colder than a typical household refrigerator but is specifically designed for kimchi storage. Because the freezing point can vary depending on the salinity of your recipe, you may need to adjust between the Low, Medium, and High Kimchi settings. Keep the vegetables fully submerged in the kimchi liquid to help prevent freezing.

Can I use a KimchiMama kimchi refrigerator for foods other than kimchi?
Yes. The 120L KimchiMama also includes Refrigerator, Freezer, and Alcohol Storage Modes for wine, beer, and liquor/soju slush, allowing it to provide flexible storage for a variety of foods and beverages when you are not using it for kimchi.
Can KimchiMama be used as a regular refrigerator?
Yes. Refrigerator Mode maintains approximately 1°C to 3°C (34°F to 37°F), allowing KimchiMama to provide additional refrigerated storage when you need extra refrigerator space.
Can I store beer, wine, or soju in a KimchiMama refrigerator?
Yes. The 120L KimchiMama includes specialized Alcohol Storage settings. Approximate preset temperatures include Beer at -2°C (28°F), Wine at 12°C (54°F), and Liquor/Soju Slush at -12°C (10°F).
Can a kimchi refrigerator store fermented foods other than kimchi?
A kimchi refrigerator may also be useful for other fermented foods, such as sauerkraut and pickled vegetables. Select the appropriate storage mode based on the food and its recommended storage temperature.
